Catch Your Own Epiq
You can now place an order for the base model of the Škoda Epiq 35 electric SUV crossover.
It is one of the most aordable models in its segment and brings electric mobility to an even wider
range of customers. The Epiq 35 in the base Essence trim level is available at a suggested retail
price of 619,000 CZK, including VAT. The Essence trim level includes, for example, light and rain
sensors, height-adjustable front seats, automatic climate control, power windows and heated
power-adjustable exterior mirrors, fabric oor mats
in the front and rear, rear parking sensors, remote
central locking, push-button start, and a 5-inch
virtual cockpit. The equipment can be further
expanded with optional features.
The Octavia is Coming with
a Full Hybrid Powertrain
You can find out more in the press release.
The system primarily uses this mode at speeds of up to
approximately 60 km/h, as well as when the traction battery’s
state of charge falls below a dened level or the driver demands
stronger acceleration. In parallel hybrid mode, the combustion
engine is mechanically connected to the driven wheels via the
clutch and a single xed gear ratio, while the traction motor can
provide additional support to the combustion engine. This mode
is used at speeds above 60 km/h and during steady driving.
The Octavia is the rst Škoda model to feature a full hybrid powertrain.
Its series-parallel hybrid system combines a combustion engine with the
exibility of electric driving. Operating fully automatically, the system
selects the most ecient drive mode according to the current conditions.
The traction battery is recharged while driving by the combustion engine
or through energy recuperation. Two output levels, 100 kW and
125 kW, are available for both the hatchback and estate in the Selection
and Sportline trim levels, and the car is now available for order.
The full hybrid powertrain comprises two electric motors, a 1.5 TSI evo2
combustion engine, a single-speed automatic transmission and
an automatic clutch. The smaller of the electric motors primarily acts as
a generator while also starting the combustion engine. The larger traction
motor drives the front wheels and recuperates energy during braking.
In all-electric mode, the traction motor powers the vehicle using energy
from the battery, allowing it to travel approximately two kilometers.
In series hybrid mode, the combustion engine powers a generator, which
generates electricity for the traction motor driving the wheels.
