Formula Student is a prestigious
student competition for engineers
worldwide. Students design, build, test
and drive their race cars. Škoda Auto has
long been involved in the international
races of the Formula Student team in
Most. This year‘s race will take place
from 8 to 12 August 2023. We are

in motorsport and new technologies to

signed a Memorandum of
Strategic Cooperation in the eld
of electromobility and digitalisation.
One of the objectives is to focus
on the use of traction batteries
from Enyaq vehicles for further
applications.

The so-called second life allows the
batteries from the cars to be used
multiple times. Only afterwards will
they be recycled. With the rapidly
growing share of battery cars, the
importance of the second use of
traction batteries and other related
services will grow.
The Mladá Boleslav automobile company
has created the so-called Škoda Auto
Employee‘s  Rules for Škoda Auto
Employees When Using Social Media.
The aim of this guide is to remind
employees of the right principles and safe
rules when using social networks. You will
learn, for example, how to register
a prole in a safe way or which information
can be reliably shared when communicating.

Škoda Auto Succeeds
in the Sodexo Employer
of the Year 2023 Poll
At the beginning of June, the Mladá Boleslav car company
became the best employer in the Central Bohemia Region. It
has now won second place in the Sodexo Employer of the
Year  poll. Škoda Auto has long been one of the most
valued employers in the Czech Republic. Last year, it also
succeeded in the Most Desirable Employer among Students
poll. Education and employee versatility are important to
Škoda Auto, and currently also the combination of the elds
of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and IT. For
example, the Degreed training platform is in operation here.

Škoda Auto celebrates 30 years in Slovakia.
Martin Jahn, Member of the Board of
Management for Sales and Marketing, wrote
on his LinkedIn prole: „Slovakia has always felt
like our second home, and it seems our Slovakian
customers see it the same way. Škoda has
been the market leader since the formation of
independent Slovakia, with over 621,000 sold
cars, while the Enyaq has been the best-selling
EV in Slovakia since its introduction in 2021.“

Cooperation of Masters in Production
Škoda Auto has joined the Master Cooperation Pro
gramme for se-
veral times under the auspices of NTI Consulting, Liberec and the PSI-P
- Škoda Production System department. The PSI-P Škoda team capti
-
vated the visitors with a programme on the topic of Continuous Impro-
vement Process and Employee Training. The event for masters was
attended by  employees from twenty companies. After completing

a packed programme, which included, for example, practical training and
the use of virtual reality in practice, the participants toured the production
facilities (welding and press shop) directly on the Škoda Auto premises.

Škoda Auto Provided Cars for
Smetana’s Litomyšl
One of the oldest music festivals in the Czech Republic, Smeta-
na‘s Litomyšl, will take place from  June to  July . This
is the 
th
edition. Škoda Auto has again this year provided the
or-
ganisers of the festival with a eet of ten cars for transporting artists

and distinguished guests. The Mladá Boleslav-based carmaker
chose the Škoda Enyaq electric car and the Škoda Superb iV with
electried drive. The cars with their quiet and emission-free drive t
perfectly into the festive atmosphere of a major music festival.

Watch Out
for Ticks
Tick season is in full
swing. In terms of disease
transmission, they are one
of the biggest risks. You can
also monitor the current
incidence of ticks via the
KlíšťApka app.
The common tick is the
most widespread species in
Europe. It is mainly found in
deciduous and mixed forests,
but can be encountered
wherever there is sucient
moisture. The number of
ticks has also increased in
recent years, for example due
to climate change.

Faster movement in protected
mountain areas. This is made po-
ssible by two electric bicyc-
les donated by Škoda Auto to
the guardians of the Orlické
Mountains Protected Area.
The Škoda eMTB all-suspension
bicycles have a range of up to
 km and will enable the rangers
to move better along the moun-
tain ridges even in remote areas.
The handover took place at
the Church of St. Matthew in
the Orlické Mountains.

a demonstration of climbing skills
