    From Monday, 24 January 2022,
    a PCR Testing Booth will be
    available at Gate 3 in Mladá Boleslav
    (entrance available from the inside/
    outside of the plant). The booth
    will be open every weekday from
    Monday to Friday and is available
    to both ŠKODA AUTO employees
    and their family members, per the
    information listed below.

    NEW VIDEO oers an insight into the process of creating sustainable seat
    covers for the ENYAQ iV.
    In the interior of our all-electric ŠKODA ENYAQ iV, we are relying
    on design worlds instead of classic equipment versions. For the seat
    covers in the LODGE design world, the Czech carmaker combines
    wool with recycled polyester from non-returnable PET bottles.
    Together with its supplier partners and the scientic community,
    the carmaker is working on environmentally friendly, recyclable
    and durable materials for use in mass production. In the future, our
    automotive purchasing processes will focus even more on sustainability
    and the circular economy throughout the entire process chain.

    opened up for the 2022
    vacation planning (plan-
    ning round). The app has
    been modied to
    provide for an easier and
    faster vacation planning.

    We continue with successful events from
    last year and invite you to the third ŠKODA
    ScrewUp Talk, which will take place on
    11/2/2022 from 10:30 to 12:00. Again, you can
    sign up on the ŠKODA Space website.
    Once again, leaders from dierent
    areas of the company will take part
    as guests. In addition to Maren
    Gräf (Board Member for People &
    Culture), Head of Communications
    Jens Katemann and Head of
    General Purchasing Matej Galba
    will also take part in the online
    event.
    They will speak openly about the greatest
    defeats in their professional career and share what
    they have personally learned from them.
    The participants have the opportunity to ask
    the speakers questions during the event. With
    this format, we want to further strengthen the
    culture of open sharing of errors at ŠKODA.
    The stream will be organized in English
    and Czech according to your preference.
    In the podcast, carmaker experts and external
    experts talk about electromobility, articial
    intelligence and digitalization, among other
    topics. Jiří Dytrych, Head of Product
    Line Small at ŠKODA AUTO, now oers
    fans of the Czech carmaker an insight into
    the development of the global MQB-A0
    platform for new entry-level models in
    regions with high growth potential. It is the
    rst time that ŠKODA AUTO is responsible

    At the annual conference in Prague's
    Karlín, Jiří Maláček, head of ŠKODA
    AUTO's Czech operations, evaluated
    the balance sheet for 2021. Despite the
    coronavirus pandemic and disrupted
    supply chains in the automotive industry,
    he considers the past year a success.
    The resulting number of registrations
    reached 70,946 new cars. Another
    positive development is the fact that
    the market share was maintained at 34%,
    the same result as in the last
    pre-pandemic year, 2019. The ŠKODA
    ENYAQ iV was the best-selling electric
    car in the Czech Republic last year. This
    year is expected to bring a slight recovery,
    with plans to place around 73,000 new
    ŠKODA cars on the Czech market.

    AGENCY.
    The 55 ŠKODA SUPERB COMBIs on order
    will be allocated to WAPOL’s Highway Patrol
    units with a further 10 orders expected.
    The Highway Patrol ŠKODA SUPERB COMBI
    is a largely unmodied SPORTLINE grade
    that diers from the civilian model only in the
    removal of the standard Canton sub-woofer
    to accommodate a police-specication dual
    battery.

    Andreas Mikkelsen started his project of
    defending the WRC2 Drivers’ Championship
    in style. Together with co-driver Torstein
    Eriksen, the ŠKODA FABIA Rally2 evo
    driver from Norway won the category at
    the season opening Rallye Monte-Carlo
    (20–23 January 2022). Russians Nikolay
    Gryazin/Konstantin Aleksandrov and Britons
    Chris Ingram/Ross Whittock, also driving for
    ŠKODA Motorsport backed team Toksport
    WRT, nished second and fourth respectively
    in the inaugural WRC2 Junior competition.
    The next round of this year's World
    Championship will take the riders to
    Sweden (24–27/2/2022). To secure top
    winter conditions, the tradition-rich event
    has moved its base from Karlstad to Umea
    more to the north of the country.
