    THE IQ PLAY FESTIVAL
    Making a battery for an electric car is
    almost as precise a job as building
    a gearbox. Why? And what all needs to
    be known to make a battery powerful
    and safe? The SIMPLY CLEVER
    PODCAST takes you to Hall M6 at
    the ŠKODA AUTO plant in Mladá
    Boleslav, where the batteries for the
    ENYAQ iV are being assembled. Once
    the line is up and running, it will be able
    to produce up to 280,000 traction
    batteries a year.
    We had the opportunity to see the
    new production line in detail – in this
    episode of the podcast you will learn
    how the batteries are assembled in
    Mladá Boleslav, how much of the work
    is done by machines and how ŠKODA
    AUTO employees had to be trained
    to work on this production line. Our
    guest in the newest SIMPLY CLEVER
    PODCAST is Pavel Šimek, ŠKODA
    AUTO's Platform Production Manager.
    Children and adults will be entertained
    and enlightened by the IQ Play
    Festival – a playful exhibition, where
    puzzles and games of an educational
    nature, sensory toys, Montessori aids,
    wooden games, logic puzzles, building
    blocks and enlarged games can be seen
    and played. The entire festival will oer
    a large variety of games, and is available
    to visitors for free on Saturday, 4 June
    2022 as part of Children's Day.
    The festival will be then open to all
    visitors to the ŠKODA Museum until
    30 June 2022 with the standard
    museum entry fee; for school groups, two
    accompanying persons have a free entry.
    Three, two, one – go! The ŠKODA AFRIQ
    could enter any special stage of
    the legendary Dakar Rally o the bat.
    The eighth ŠKODA Student Concept Car
    is a spectacular rally version of the ŠKODA
    KAMIQ. This is the rst time the city
    SUV has served as the basis for a Student
    Concept Car. The experts from ŠKODA
    Motorsport were more closely involved in
    developing the ŠKODA AFRIQ than any
    other Student Concept Car. The project
    executed by the 25 apprentices, including
    three women, pays homage to the roots
    and the original home of the ‘Dakar’ and at
    the same time points to ŠKODA AUTO’s
    responsibility for Volkswagen Group
    activities in North Africa.

    Shredding periods determine when content (e.g. emails,
    appointments, tasks or notes) of a certain age will be
    automatically deleted. The application of shredding deadlines
    is dened by standards KRL.0.14, ORL 24 and ON.1.037
    and is based on VW Group regulations regarding document
    security. Shredding periods are already deployed in all other
    Oce 365 applications. We recommend watching the webinar

    at ŠKODA AUTO
    We're launching a new social channel, Yammer,
    where you – the employees – are the main drivers of
    communication. Microsoft Yammer is an ocial part of
    the Oce365 package. Add the Yammer app directly
    in Microsoft Teams, download it to your company
    mobile (including BYOD devices) and get involved in
    ŠKODA AUTO!
    While Teams brings together smaller teams with
    clearly dened tasks, Yammer connects colleagues
    across the company into one common community.
    The result is a lively discussion forum in which every
    employee with MS Teams can participate. At the same
    time, Yammer allows you to connect even more easily
    with colleagues from other Group brands where they
    already use this platform (VW, SEAT, Audi...).

    THE FOUR-LANE LAURIN & KLEMENT BRIDGE OVER
    THE D MOTORWAY IN THE PRESENCE OF MARTIN KUPKA,
    CZECH MINISTER OF TRANSPORT, REPRESENTATIVES
    OF THE REGION AND PARTICIPATING TOWNS AND OTHER
    GUESTS.
    The new bridge will stand between junctions 44 Mladá Boleslav
    and 46 Kosmonosy. This construction is designed as a directionally
    divided, four-lane, two-sided road. The project also includes a new
    gateway to the ŠKODA AUTO plant as well as a connected Class
    III road. The under-construction access to the plant will also use the
    planned o-ramp over the D10 motorway at Exit 46 Kosmonosy.
    This example of coordinated cooperation between the public and
    private sectors will signicantly reduce trac congestion in the area.

    An incredible 54 tonnes of dis-
    posable food packaging is thrown
    away every day in Czechia. That's
    more than 20 000 tonnes a year,
    which has a serious environmen-
    tal impact. We have already abol-
    ished plastic straws and dispos-
    able cutlery in our restaurants.
    It has proved that we can live
    comfortably without them. We
    are also reducing further unnec-
    essary plastic waste by introduc-
    ing reusable, returnable packaging
    – the REboxes (REkrabičky). The
    more people use them, the more
    precious natural resources will
    be saved, which are not unlimit-
    ed on our planet. Every little thing
    counts and can have a big impact.
    Czech rally season is in full swing and the teams have no time to rest.
    The domestic championship continued only two weeks after Rally Šumava
    at Rally Český Krumlov and the pace at the front of the eld was equally fast.
    Jan Kopecký and navigator Jan Hloušek took a narrow victory by
    3.4 seconds after a tense duel. The ŠKODA Agrotec Rally Team dealer driver
    equalled Roman Kresta's record with his seventh victory in Krumlov.
    The participants of the Czech Rally Championship will now take a month-long
    break, which will be ended by the Agrotec Petronas Rally Hustopeče in June.
