    The IAA Mobility , one
    the world‘s leading trade
    fairs for mobility, is taking
    place from  to  September
     in Munich. Visitors from
    all around the world can see
    the latest innovations in all
    areas of mobility, from cars and
    trucks to public transportation,
    bicycles, and micromobility.
    Another part of the program is
    featuring a number of events
    and discussions on the future
    of mobility. Among the main
    topics are digitalization,
    sustainability and urban
    mobility. The IAA is also
    looking at the ways in which
    mobility is becoming more
    of a service, rather than
    a product.
    Škoda Classic Tour 2023:
    Jubilee 10

    International colleagues meeting
    The jubilee 10
    th
    year of the Škoda employ-
    ees with their historic cars and youngtim-
    ers Škoda Classic Tour took place on Satur-
    day, 2 September with a record participation
    of 218 crews. Škoda drivers from the pro-
    duction plants in Mladá Boleslav, Kvasiny and
    Vrchlabí completed a 135 km long route in
    period vehicles manufactured before 1993,
    which included the passage of two produc-
    tion halls directly in the Mladá Boleslav plant.
    The overall winner of the 10

    Škoda Classic
    Tour was Denis Šefara in a Toyota Supra GTE
    from 1993, which, in addition to material
    prizes, can look forward to a very adrenaline
    experience: carpooling in the Škoda Fabia RS
    Rally2 rally special with a test driver of the
    Škoda Motorsport team at the wheel!

    of August, the Internationals@Škoda
    community and members of the Management came
    together at the “Back to Office“ event at Prague’s
    Náplavka. It was a great opportunity for attendees to meet
    over 50 colleagues from different departments, give
    a warm welcome to new employees and have interesting
    conversations with Board Members.

    L&K Bridge completed
    At the end of August, in the presence of Dr. Michael Oeljeklaus, Member of the Board
    of Directors for Production and Logistics, and Jaroslav Povšík, Chairman of the Works
    Council of the KOVO Trade Unions, the construction of the Laurin & Klementa Bridge,
    which connected the main Škoda Auto plant in Mladá Boleslav with the future areas
    next to the D motorway, was completed. The L&K bridge is part of the overall freight
    transport solution in Mladá Boleslav and Kosmonosy. Its main goal is to simplify truck
    routes so as to minimize the load on Industrial Street. As soon as the connecting roads are
    completed, the intensity of truck trac at the ring road I/ (Průmyslová street) in front
    of the 
    th
    gate will be reduced. Trucks from the motorway will use the newly built road
    and enter the Škoda Auto premises through the new 
    th
    gate without having to enter
    Kosmonosy or Mladá Boleslav.
    The L&K bridge was ready and built in re
    -
    cord time – completed in less than three
    years. The ceremonial start of constructi
    -
    on took place in May . We belie-
    ve that ŘSD will be able to build the new
    Kosmonosy ring road above the D mo
    -
    torway just as quickly, the construction of
    which will begin on  September .

    What will the Green Week oer?
    As part of the Green Week event, on Wednesday,
    September ,  (:–:), we are organizing
    another SWAP @Škoda at the Škoda Museum.
    SWAP is an opportunity to send out clothes and books you
    no longer want or to get something nice in a sustainable
    way! If you no longer use an item, but it is still functional,
    someone else can use it.
    Things we don’t use, lose their value and meaning for
    us over time. Before throwing away something that you
    no longer use, consider whether it is still functional and
    someone else can use it. If you have any such clothes and
    books in your home, send them through another SWAP
    @Škoda.

    Mobile Lifting Device for Patrik
    Škodian Patrik Kreidl, who works as a project engineer, suered
    a cervical spine injury in an accident and since  he is permanently
    conned to a wheelchair with tetraplegia. However he stayed active
    and have not given up.
    Patrik‘s rehabilitation works best in the swimming pool. The water
    helps him cool down as his thermoregulation is not functioning
    properly. It also relieves cramps and swelling in his legs. However,
    getting into the pool is very challenging so he is in touch with
    znesnaze platform which is helping him with getting a nancial
    support (  CZK) for a mobile lift device. Which he can use not
    only for getting into the pool. The patron of the collection is the Skoda
    Auto Endowment fund.

    In line with these values, Škoda Auto has signed a petition
    ‘We Are Fair‘ initiative supporting the legalisation of marriage for
    all couples, extending to related rights such as equal benets, legal
    protection in childcare, and other practical matters like joint marital
    property and pensions. Moreover, we have added our name to an
    open letter to Petr Fiala, the Czech Prime Minister, urging him to
    endorse legislative changes to improve access and rights for LGBT+
    individuals, including the legal recognition of marriage for all couples.

    Hidden Alpine pearls:
    From Canazei to Cortina
    The duo of Erik Cais and Julia Thulin set out to explore
    the beautiful Alpine roads, that can be enjoyed not only by
    enthusiastic drivers, but even by the whole family. Their rst
    expedition takes them from the dolemite massif of Piz Boè
    to the famous mountain resort of Cortina d’Ampezzo. The rout
    eis full of wonderful corners, views and tourist attractions.
    “I have to admit that I would like to enjoy all the corners ahead
    of us in my Fabia RS Rally2 special,“ says the Czech driver and
    World and European Rally Championship participant Erik Cais
    before the trip. This time, however, he is not hitting the track in
    a racing special. Instead, the pair is seated in a Škoda Kodiaq
    RS SUV, with Julia, a Swedish navigator and European Rally
    Championship competitor, behind the wheel.

    TERIBEAR Returns
    to Mladá Boleslav
    On  September the Teribear
    charity run will take place in
    Mladá Boleslav after  years.
    The , km long route is adapted
    for everyone: runners, walkers,
    mothers with strollers, seniors, as
    well as disabled people. The speed
    of the run is not a factor here, so
    it is up to you how you choose to
    complete the rout. The only thing
    you need to know is that Škoda
    Auto will donate  CZK for every
    completed kilometer to the Tereza
    Maxová Foundation for Children.
    The event takes place from  a.m.
    to  p.m. in Štěpánka Park (below
    the Municipal Swimming Pool).
    The entry fee is  CZK and you
    can pay it online or on the spot.
    Don’t forget to join the Škoda
    team using the code ŠKODA
    when registering.

    be used to
    support
    disadvantaged
    children from
    orphanages
    in the regions
    surrourding
