    FACILITIES TO VISITORS.
    The guided tours of
    selected plant areas and
    nal assembly are ideal for
    school groups and families
    with children aged ten and
    over. The tours are oered
    in various languages,
    including Czech, English,
    German and Dutch.
    For the fourth year in a row, we have
    supported social services in the proximity
    of our production plant in Kvasiny by
    loaning out 8 vehicles. This year's eet
    consists mainly of silver OCTAVIA
    COMBI models, which were ocially
    received by representatives of the
    individual facilities on 9 June 2022.
    The cars will be used to transport sta
    during their frequent trips to visit clients,
    improving the accessibility of social
    services in the foothill region. In this way,
    the carmaker is supporting social care as
    part of its social responsibility.
    In addition, it is dedicated to improving
    the life standards of local residents
    through a number of projects and
    grants for municipalities, organizations
    and associations, focusing on the
    development of community activities,
    improving health services and education,
    protecting nature or improving road
    safety, as well as organising cultural
    events and preserving historical legacies.
    ŠKODA Motorsport is assigning the legendary RS letter combination
    to its latest rally vehicle based on the fourth-generation FABIA. In this
    way, the ŠKODA FABIA RS Rally2 evokes successful predecessors
    such as the ŠKODA 130 RS while establishing a link to the sporty
    production vehicles that make up the Czech manufacturer’s RS family.
    The successor to the most successful rally vehicle in its category will
    be unveiled in Mladá Boleslav on 14 June 2022 at 19:00. Fans could
    watch the world premiere live on the ŠKODA Motorsport website.
    NEW EXHIBITION IN
    FERDINAND PORSCHE’S
    BIRTH HOUSE.
    A new exhibition “Fireworks of
    Innovation: Ferdinand Porsche
    and his Progressive Designs for
    Austro-Daimler (1906-1923)“
    is on display at the Ferdinand
    Porsche Birthplace in Liberec-
    Vratislavice. Ferdinand Porsche
    was successful in Vienna's New
    Town not only as technical
    and general manager, but
    also as a top racing driver.
    The new exhibition will also
    commemorate the Austrian
    brand's luxury, sports and
    commercial vehicles – including
    hybrid drive – until 30 October
    2022.
    The Culture Mindset Index
    (CMX) pilot project will run
    from 8 to 24 July 2022 and
    aims to measure the current
    level of corporate culture, as
    compared to the so-called
    target corporate culture
    through a set of questions.
    The entire initiative is based
    on the strategic project
    Mindset Change, which you
    can read more about in the
    May issue of ŠKODA Mobil.

    ŠKODA AUTO VOCATIONAL
    SCHOOL BUILD A UNIQUE
    STUDENT CONCEPT CAR
    EVERY YEAR.
    In collaboration with ŠKODA
    Motorsport, they created the
    amazing ŠKODA AFRIQ that
    could enter any special stage of the
    legendary Dakar Rally o the bat.
    Plus, it can make water out of the air –
    thanks to technology from the Israeli
    company WaterGen. The system extracts
    drinking water from the humidity of the air
    and can even generate drinking water in
    the desert. That was one of several topics
    in the latest SIMPLY CLEVER PODCAST.

    One of the benets of the agreement between ŠKODA AUTO and
    the KOVO Trade Union, is that all employees, including those on
    maternity or parental leave, have been credited with 6,000 points.
    A further 3,000 points will be credited to employees at the beginning
    of October 2022 and then again at the beginning of January 2023.
    Water is a miraculous compound without which life could not exist
    on the planet. Yet its scarcity could become a critical problem in the
    years to come.
    The more water we use, the less is left for nature. In recent years,
    drought has threatened the entire ecosystem of which we are
    a part. For every person in the country, 133 litres of drinking water
    are consumed every day. In the developing world, 15 people have
    to make do with this amount.
    If we reduce water wastage, we can reverse the negative trend and
    still save money. There are several possibilities.

    Over the course of four days,
    269 pupils and teachers from
    primary schools in the region
    visited the plant to get up close
    and personal with modern
    automotive technology.
    The program included
    a demonstration of various
    parts of the production process
    and the ŠKODA SUNROQ
    from the student car project,
    which is constructed each year
    by students of the ŠKODA
    Vocational School under the
    expert guidance of teachers and
    other specialists. ŠKODA AUTO
    has long been committed to
    supporting technical education
    as part of its social responsibility
    and cooperates with a number
    of schools across the Czech
    Republic.
