    “42 Prague“
    launches
    second round

    in studying
    programming
    On Monday 17/10/2022 we opened new oce space in Prague-
    Vysočany, which we leased in one of the most modern buildings in
    the Czech capital. The oce space has a total of ve oors, which will
    house mostly IT employees who will move from their current oces
    at three dierent locations in Prague. One oor is dedicated to
    the non-prot educational institute “42 Prague”. AFI City 1,
    an elegant oce tower 75 metres high, is a new dominant element
    of the new district. The interiors and surroundings stand out with
    a modern design in line with the latest trends in low operating costs,
    sustainability and a healthy working environment.
    The newly opened oces are part of extensive plans to modernize
    and consolidate oce space. The next stage is the Laurin & Klement
    Kampus complex, currently under construction, which will be
    completed as ŠKODA AUTO’s new headquarters at the end of 2023.

    17/10/2022, ŠKODA
    AUTO was a premium
    partner of the German
    Czech Economic Forum
    conference organized
    by the German-Czech
    Chamber of Commerce
    and Industry. One of the
    key speakers at the event
    was the ŠKODA AUTO
    CEO Klaus Zellmer, who
    addressed topics such
    as the transformation
    of the automotive
    industry and the
    future of ŠKODA
    AUTO. Johannes Neft,
    ŠKODA AUTO Board
    Member for Technical
    Development, also
    spoke on behalf of the
    automaker. He addressed
    the topics of innovation,
    transformation and value
    creation in the German-
    Czech economy.
    As the premium partner,
    ŠKODA AUTO also
    presented a stand
    oering a comprehensive
    view on sustainability.
    ŠKODA AUTO HAS SUCCEEDED IN
    THE POLICE PRESIDIUM'S TENDER
    FOR THE SUPPLY OF VEHICLES
    FOR SURVEILLANCE ON CZECH
    MOTORWAYS.
    On Tuesday 18/10/2022 the 40 new
    ŠKODA SUPERB COMBIs were
    handed over to the Police of
    the Czech Republic on behalf of
    First Deputy Police President Tomáš
    Lerch and Deputy Police President
    for Economics Jaromír Bischof at
    a ceremony in Mladá Boleslav. The cars
    were handed over by Tomáš Duchoň,
    Head of Sales CZ, and David Janda,
    Expert Coordinator Sales to State
    Administration.
    The police SUPERB COMBI has
    a top speed of 250 km/h and
    accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in
    5.8 seconds. In addition to the usual
    police technology such as beacons
    and radios, they will be equipped
    with a high-performance camera
    system for reading the registration
    plates of vehicles in front and behind.
    This will allow immediate checking
    of the payment of the motorway fee.
    A giant luggage compartment with
    a special extension for the needs of
    the trac police will also serve as
    a mobile oce.

    TRAINING INSTITUTE,
    CO-FOUNDED BY
    ŠKODA AUTO.
    The innovative concept of studying
    programming is linked to the selection
    of the most talented students –
    the process begins with logic games
    and continues with a four-week
    training course in programming.
    During this specialized training,
    candidates collaborate on projects,
    solve various tasks and have the
    opportunity to learn about the
    didactic concept of this educational
    institute. In the future, up to
    150 highly qualied programmers
    per year will graduate here.

    Since February 2021, our
    customers can use the Car
    Feedback feature in the
    MyŠKODA app to give their
    opinion on their car. We received
    over 20 700 ratings from
    customers on all of our past and
    present models between February
    2021 and September 2022 via
    our Car Feedback feature.
    The most frequently rated current
    model was the ŠKODA OCTAVIA
    A8 with over 3 300 reviews.
    The second most frequently
    rated current car was the ŠKODA
    SCALA with around 1 770
    reviews, followed by the SUPERB
    with around 1 360 feedback
    comments. The ŠKODA ENYAQ iV
    received around 700 reviews.
    Positive sentiment prevails in
    the models evaluated, categories
    with potential for improvement
    include infotainment and con-
    nectivity. We would like to thank
    all our colleagues who contributed
    to the creation of this feature!

    Idea Management with the
    support of the KOVO Trade
    Union launches a new incentive
    campaign ZEBRA for newcom-
    ers from 1/10/2022. The aim
    of the campaign is to get new
    employees of ŠKODA AUTO
    involved in Idea Management
    and to use their potential for the
    development of the company.
    The campaign also supports
    the new quality-oriented stra-
    tegy of Idea Management. As
    a condition for inclusion in this
    campaign, the author must be
    a tari employee of ŠKODA
    AUTO at the time of submission
    and closing of the implemented
    proposal and must have sub-
    mitted the proposal within six
    months of joining the company.
    The author of an acknowledged
    and implemented proposal will
    be paid an extra reward of
    50 ZEBRA points in addition
    to the standard rewards
    according to ON.1.030.

    When planning your weekend trips,
    please take into account
    the limitations on the D10
    motorway, which will take place
    from 21 to 23/10/2022. As part of
    the construction of a private road
    connecting the ŠKODA AUTO and
    PZ Plazy sites, bridge beams will be
    installed here. For safety reasons,
    there will be temporary (approx.
    20 min) or complete trac closures
    on half of the D10 motorway in
    both directions. Please use increased
    caution. We wish you as little
    complication as possible on your

    When ENYAQ recharges ENYAQ
    PRE has launched a new charging hub in
    Prague’s Chodov district, where up to twelve
    cars can be connected at the same time,
    and in addition to 10 22kW chargers, there
    is also an ultra-fast charger with 150kW of
    charging power. In addition to the chargers,
    however, a white container has been added
    to the Jedenáctka swimming pool – not
    a transformer station, but a battery storage
    facility that ŠKODA AUTO has developed
    for the further use of used traction
    batteries from its electric cars, the so-called
    Second Life Battery. The battery storage
    unit has a capacity of 300 kWh and contains
    battery modules from the ENYAQ and
    ENYAQ Coupé, for example, which have
    been tested and no longer have full capacity.
