Fourth and Fifth
Episode of
the Škoda Social
Week Podcast
In the fourth episode of this
podcast series focused on
intergenerational dialogue,
guests discussed topics such
as how street art can shape
the public spaces we live in and
what it means when a place no
longer serves as ‘home’. How
do generational expectations
for the ‘ideal place to live
evolve? Are we able to agree
on what public spaces should
look like? And how can we
contribute to shaping their
future? In the nal fth episode,
guests explored how dierent
generations view historical
milestones and whether
traditions and customs are still
passed down today.
The New Generation of At-Home Charging
The second generation of Škoda’s home EV charger,
the Škoda Charger, introduces signicant upgrades and
new features. Its design has been updated with more
compact dimensions of  ×  ×  mm. The wallbox
now oers integration with solar power systems, vehicle
communication via the ISO  protocol, and optimised
cost-eective charging options. An additional method for
user authentication has been added, allowing verication via
RFID card or directly through the MyŠkoda mobile app. Three
models are available: Connect , Connect , and Pro .
The rst variant supports charging speeds of up to  kW
and includes an integrated energy consumption meter. It can
connect to the internet via Wi-Fi or Ethernet. The Connect 
and Pro  versions provide full charging capacity for Enyaq
and Elroq vehicles ( kW) but also oer a power reserve of up
to  kW. The Pro  model additionally features a certied
MID energy meter and extends connectivity options with LTE.
Transforming the Classic Octavia:
Škoda Voltavia and Octavia Project X
At the Paris Motor Show, our French colleagues took part in the Škoda Retrot
Battle, where two teams – Turbo and Automobile Propre – were challenged to
convert a s Octavia into an electric vehicle with a range of at least  km.
The Automobile Propre team, a pioneer in electromobility, presented the Voltavia
an electried
Octavia Combi that
stays true to
the original design
while delivering
up to  hp
and a range
exceeding  km.
The team focused
on enhancing the
car’s aerodynamics,
preserving the original weight, and integrating modern touches like a green paint
nish and an electric scooter stored in the boot. The second team, made up
of members from M’s longest-running show, Turbo, introduced the Octavia
Project X. Their transformation took a bolder approach, partnering with W-Auto
Sport and Strate College to design a dragster based on the Octavia, boasting
over  hp and more than  Nm of torque. The goal was to demonstrate
that radical transformation and high performance can go hand-in-hand with
electrication.
Škoda at the 2024 Paris Motor
Show – Mondial de l’Auto
Škoda Auto showcased its range at the Paris Motor Show
in Porte de Versailles with an impressive  m stand.
The event marked the public debut of the new Elroq
an aordable, ecient, and sustainable compact SUV with
a fully electric powertrain. This model makes electromobility
more accessible to broader customer groups in France, with
prices starting from ,, inclusive of the state subsidy.
During the press conference, Škoda's key new products were
presented, and the CEO, Klaus Zellmer addressed the guests
via a video greeting. In addition to the Elroq, Škoda displayed
its Enyaq RS, Kamiq, Kodiaq Sportline, Superb, Superb Combi
and Vision GT models.
