Škoda Elroq: A Design Emphasising Functionality and Durability
To achieve the desired look
for the Elroq, EKV developed
an entirely new system for
mounting, assembling, and
aligning the front bumper,
a distinctive design feature of
the Modern Solid language.
The foundation of this
innovation is a specialised
part – the bonnet lock carrier
– to which the outer bumper
attaches. This component
is made entirely from
recycled material, aligning
with upcoming sustainability
regulations.
The design of the Elroq’s exterior and interior embraces a timeless
approach, with a strong emphasis on new sustainable materials
that prioritise durability without compromising on quality. One
standout addition is RecyTitan, a new textile featured in the Loft
trim level’s seat upholstery, parts of the dashboard, door panels,
armrest, and knee area. Another sustainable material, used in
the Design Selection Lodge variant, is TechnoFil, which comprises
one-quarter polyester and three-quarters ECONYL yarn.
