Video from Sports Day
On Tuesday, September 8, an informal “Early Bird
Breakfast” setting took place at Café Restaurant Václav
in the Škoda Museum, moderated by CEO Klaus Zellmer.
Participants discussed the brand’s future in India,
the impact of developments within the Volkswagen Group
and the Brand Group Core on our automaker, and the need
to respond quickly to technological changes, particularly
those driven by articial intelligence. A signicant part
of the discussion was also devoted to bidding farewell
to Martin Jahn, who will be joining the Volkswagen
brand’s Board of Directors in October. In a friendly and
constructive atmosphere, both Klaus Zellmer and Jaroslav
Povšík, Chairman of the KOVO Trade Union, thanked him
for his many years of service.
The crew of Robert Virves and Jakko Viilo, driving
a Škoda Fabia RS Rally2, secured second place in
the WRC2 category at the demanding Rally Chile Bio
Bío. The result helped them to nish the rally as new
champions of the WRC2 Challenger classication*
and solidied their lead in the overall championship.
A successful weekend for Škoda cars was rounded out by
Taylor Gill’s fourth-place nish, fth place for local driver
Jorge Martínez Fontena. The championship will head to
Italy in early October. Find out more about the rally on
the Škoda Motorsport website.
Let’s Help Dan
Many people know Dan (50) as
a reliable colleague, a car enthusiast,
and, above all, as the father of
three sons. He is always willing
to help others. Right now, however,
he is the one who needs help. In
late June, he began experiencing
health problems, and tests revealed
that he had glioblastoma, one of
the most aggressive types of brain
tumors. Since then, he has been
undergoing intensive treatment and
doctors have recommended the
TTF OPTUNE method, but it is not
covered by public health insurance.
That is why a public fundraiser has
been launched, with the goal of
helping to secure the necessary
treatment and allowing Dan to
focus on what matters most – his
health and time with his family.
Join the Škoda Auto Endowment
Fund in supporting this public
fundraiser on znesnaze21; you can
also help by exercising with ŠkoFit
or by sharing. Thank you.

Two Bronze Medals
for Dragon Boats
The Škoda Dragon Team wrapped up
the season with an excellent third-
place nish at the seventh annual
Wolfsburger Drachenboot Cup.
A total of 57 sports and corporate crews,
with over 1,000 competitors, took part in
this year’s race. This year’s lineup, which
included ve new members, can be truly
proud that it was able to hold its own
against strong competition and build on
previous successes. This excellent nish
to the season serves as great motivation
for the next one.
Would you like to be a part of it?

Our colleagues from Škoda IT also took
home the bronze. In early September,
they participated in a charity
dragon boat race for Zlatá rybka,
an organization that fullls the dreams
of children ages 5 to 18 whose lives are
threatened or limited by serious illness.
Congratulations to both teams on their
fantastic results!
More than 400 employees, their family members and friends,
50 volunteers, and a shared goal of helping where help is needed.
