I want to say something

The rst half of 2026 has
asked a lot of our teams.

two models
• Strong deliveries that
elevated Škoda to the no. 2
brand in Europe
• Recognition for the
top-selling Elroq as Auto-
car’s Best Electric Car and
German Car of the Year
• 10,000 members in Škoda

at the heart of the Tour de
France, for the 23

Škoda’s milestones in
the rst half of this year are
many and varied, but they
have one key factor in
common: people made them
happen. With the Škoda
culture of pragmatism and
can-do spirit.
Now I hope many of you will
nd time to recharge.
Summer is not only a pause
in the calendar. It is a chance
to gain perspective, enjoy
time with the people who
matter, and return with fresh
energy for what comes next.

A team of Indian journalists from Autocar India magazine
has successfully completed the extraordinary “Pune to
Prague (P2P)“ expedition. Driving the compact SUV
Škoda Kylaq, they set o from the Indian production plant
in Pune and arrived in Prague after 70 days and traveling
through 13 countries. They covered an impressive
19,351 kilometers. The Kylaq, developed specically for
the Indian market, passed this extreme durability test with
ying colors. “Without a single scratch – even the alloy
wheels remained untouched,“ praised Hormazd Sorabjee,
the magazine's editor-in-chief. Not a single complication
or puncture occurred during the entire journey.

The 7-millionth DQ200 automatic transmission – which has
been manufactured in Vrchlabí since 2012 – has now rolled o the
production line there. Customer demand for the 7-speed dual-clutch
transmission with direct shifting continues to grow; approximately
60% of production is destined for vehicles from other brands within
the group: Audi, Cupra, Seat, and Volkswagen. Production is shipped
to countries such as Germany, Spain, and Portugal, as well as to
South Africa and India. Due to high demand, the plant in Vrchlabí had
already introduced 7-day-a-week production with a total of 20 shifts
by the end of 2022, which signicantly increased capacity: production
increased from 500,000 units per year to 690,000 units in 2023, and
last year a record 721,400 transmissions rolled o the production line.
