Fair-Trade Coee
Fuelling Ideas
at Škoda
Škoda Auto has been gradually
switching to its own brand
of coee since last October.
It’s called Curiosity Fuel.
Annually, the company
consumes over tonnes of
this coee, which is grown,
roasted, and packaged in
a way that respects nature
and farmers. Its goal is to
fuel curiosity in the search
for sustainable solutions
throughout the value chain.
It is intended specically for
Škoda employees at all the
company’s Czech plants.
And not just in a cup on your
desk.
The rst weekend in June marked the
end of the spring series of volunteer
nature clean-ups organised by Škoda
Auto for employees of its three Czech
plants, in collaboration with the KOVO
trade union and local environmentalists
as part of the Let’s Clean Up Czechia
initiative. This year, nearly
environmental enthusiasts participated,
collecting over eight tonnes of waste
in total. The spring round kicked o with
a clean-up in the forests near the village
of Březno during Earth Days. Employees
from Vrchlabí set out for the Medvědín ski
slope in May, and volunteers from Kvasiny
headed to the vicinity of Šerlich Hill on
the rst weekend in June. Škoda Auto has
long been committed to environmental
protection as part of its GreenFuture
strategy.
