One of the many activities
celebrating the

anniversary
of Škoda IT was a virtual hiking
challenge in July and August. And
as it turned out, we have some truly
skilled hikers in IT! Over the course
of two months, our colleagues
collectively walked an impressive
. km!
To complete the challenge, the
participants chose one of these
months and they had to walk
at least km. In the end,
colleagues successfully met the goal,
with three lucky winners selected
at random by articial intelligence
to receive gift items. In addition,
special recognition went to Barbora
Drvotová, who walked the most
kilometres of all participants. She
covered a breathtaking . km
in July and . km in August.

Škoda Auto’s Success in
the Energy Scouts CZ Project
Participants in the Energy Scouts CZ project,
organised by the German-Czech Chamber of Industry
and Commerce, sought practical solutions for climate
protection and sustainability. Thirty people from
dierent companies took part in the competition,
with three teams representing Škoda Auto. Our
employees received wto prizes from the expert jury.
The team of Alexey Ryazanov, Viktorija Čopej, and
Matthieu Chudoba won third place for their innovative
proposal to use recycled materials in car door seals,
which was successfully implemented in this year’s Octavia
model. The door seals now contain % recycled material,
saving up to , kg of CO annually.
A special jury award went to the team of Miloš Vavrik,
Pavel Mitrega, and Patricie Trhoňová for their proposal
to digitalise changing rooms. Thanks to this project,
Škoda Auto can now allocate resources more eectively
and optimise costs related to managing and operating
changing facilities, marking a signicant step toward
sustainable and ecient use of company space and
resources.
