On  September , the Wiring Excellence Summit  took place at the Laurin
& Klement Kampus in Mladá Boleslav. This key event for the wiring harness domain
within Škoda Auto and the Volkswagen Group was organized in collaboration between
the Procurement Connectivity and Technical Development departments. The summit
aimed to connect technical expertise with procurement strategy and foster innovation in
vehicle electrical systems. It provided a unique platform for idea exchange, showcasing
technological advancements, and strengthening collaboration across the supply chain.
A real wiring harness for the new Elroq was displayed in the LKK lobby, demonstrating
the complexity and importance of wiring harnesses in modern vehicles.
A new addition to Škoda Auto’s serial production
in Mladá Boleslav as of July, and now available for
customers to congure in their vehicles, is
the . TSI evo power unit.
The remarkably versatile . TSI evo powers all
Škoda cars built on combustion engine platforms.
Compared to the previous version, this engine
features a number of new technical solutions that
ensure low fuel consumption while maintaining
high performance. Look at its key features and
technologies at Škoda Storyboard.
Over the course of  years, the company has
accumulated a vast volume of materials – now
meticulously preserved in a professionally managed
archive located in the very heart of the company, in
Mladá Boleslav. Lukáš Nachtmann leads this archive,
and as he guides visitors through its fascinating
premises – where he and his team care for the
brand’s heritage – it’s clear he feels truly at home.
As he says with a smile, he spends more time here
than at home.
Established in the s, the archive contains
materials documenting the company’s development,
including founding contracts, internal documentation
(board meetings, works council meetings, etc.),
as well as photographs, posters, and technical
drawings. The archive is open to both the public and
professional researchers in the so-called Study Room.
All materials are accessible except for those that are
unprocessed, condential, or classied.

The # Škoda Economy Run took place  September . The traditional
fuel economy competition tests the fuel eciency of Škoda cars in practice.
This year,  teams lined up at the start and, under strict rules, tried to achieve
the lowest possible fuel consumption and emissions. The total length of the Mladá
Boleslav – Vrchlabí – Mladá Boleslav route was . km, with a time limit of
 minutes, meaning that the minimum average speed was set at . km/h.
Given today's trac conditions, with more than ten trac lights at road closures
and GPS monitoring of compliance with the rules, this is certainly no small feat.
The winning team of Jan Ryšavý and Lukáš Ryšavý achieved a consumption
of . kWh/ km with their Škoda Elroq  kW, i.e. emissions of
. g CO
per km.
