Sixty years ago, the production of the modern family car Škoda MB with its rear-engine all-
metal body began. Škoda Auto is now commemorating this anniversary with a special exhibition.
Until January , you can follow the story of this legend at the Škoda Museum – from concept
selection through prototypes, and the preparation of production technology to the start of mass
production and its rear-engine successors.

annual ČEZ Lipno Sport Festival is set to take place from
to August, with organisers promising an exciting line-up
featuring Czech sports stars and popular music performers.
This year’s participants include Olympic snowboard cross
champion Eva Adamczyková, two-time Wimbledon doubles
winner Barbora Strýcová, and silver medallist kayaker from
the London Olympics Vavřinec Hradilek. Former successful
professional cyclists Roman Kreuziger and Zdeněk Štybar will
also join the festival atmosphere. Coming straight from the
Olympic Paris, reigning beach volleyball world champions
Ondřej Perušič and David Schweiner, and Tokyo Olympics
bronze medallist fencer Alexander Choupenitch will also be
there. Visitors can look forward to a host of concerts featuring
Ewa Farna, Aneta Langerová, Lenny, the band Olympic,
and singers Sebastian and David Koller.
Škoda Auto is the ocial mobility partner of the event.
The company will be deploying its ambassadors to the cycling
race, and visitors will have the opportunity to explore the brand’s
cycling collection and new Škoda vehicles. One lucky participant
in the cycling race will win a bicycle.

driver Andrei Gîrtofan, who
leads the national championship,
during a small ceremony at
the team’s headquarters in Mladá
Boleslav.

category has secured regional
and national championship
victories. Over the past nine
years, the Škoda Fabia has made
