The July Škoda Mobil Released
The new Tomographic Centre at Škoda Auto
is raising the overall quality and reliability of
batteries for electric vehicles to a new level.
It can non-destructively visualise the internal
structure of batteries in very high resolution.
This allows for much faster detection of
potential defects or deciencies, with
the help of AI for evaluation. The massive
tomographic device ‘Lometom LargeScan .’
consists of a -tonne steel structure and
 tonnes of lead shielding. It is designed
to analyse large and heavy components and
castings yet scans down to the smallest
details. The world’s rst computer tomograph
for high-voltage batteries in the automotive
industry was ocially launched in hall M in
Mladá Boleslav, attended by Board Members
and leaders from selected areas.
