Oliver Blume and Thomas Schäfer Visit
Škoda Auto in Mladá Boleslav
Škoda Auto’s headquarters welcomed Oliver Blume, Chairman of the Volkswagen Group
Board of Management, along with Thomas Schäfer, CEO of Volkswagen Passenger
Cars and the member of the Volkswagen Group Board of Management responsible
for the Brand Group Core (BGC), who also serves as the Chairman of the Škoda Auto
Supervisory Board, accompanied by other representatives from the Volkswagen Group.
A broad discussion with Škoda Auto’s leadership, headed by Klaus Zellmer, and the
social partner KOVO Union and its chairman, Jaroslav Povšík, focused on the potential
opportunities and future risks for the brand.
During their visit,
the senior management of
the Volkswagen Group
learned about the company’s
strategy, product portfolio,
short-term and long-term
plans, and its international
expansion from India to
the Middle East and ASEAN
countries.
Škoda Auto and Pride Month
After May, the month of diversity, June is Pride
Month. This month commemorates the Stonewall
riots in , when police raids against LGBTQ+
people occurred in New York. In response, the rst
rainbow parades were organised, primarily advoca
-
ting for fundamental human rights.
To mark Pride Month, Škoda rainbow ags are tem-
porarily displayed across several locations in Mladá
Boleslav. Similar ags are regularly own by many
other companies and organisations. By combining
the new corporate identity design with a rainbow
Škoda Auto inscription, the company expresses its
support for LGBTQ+ people, which is one of the core
pillars of the Diversity Strategy. This represents a con
-
nection between the brand identity and the traditi-
onal symbol of the ght for equal rights and inclusion.
The Future of Sustainable
Materials? Frying Oil
or Old Bumpers

The IVET Show Car concept, created for an
internal innovation fair, showcases  ideas
for using recycled materials. Škoda Auto
already makes widespread use of recycled and
recyclable materials in its vehicles. However,
the company is continually working to increase
the proportion of these, not only to comply with
future European legislation but also to be at the
forefront of sustainability, minimising its carbon
footprint and fossil resource consumption as
much as possible.
Some steps toward this goal are already
demonstrated in the second IVET Show Car
study. This time, it is based on the production
model Škoda Enyaq. The previous study
showcased the use of natural materials. The
current concept focuses on maximising the use
of recycled and further recyclable materials.

Do Not Hesitate
To Speak Up
On Sunday  June, we observed
World Whistleblowers’ Day.
We take this opportunity to
highlight the importance of
reporting potential violations of
legal and internal regulations.
Whistleblowers often play a crucial
role in uncovering and rectifying
misconduct within the company,
thereby promoting the principles
of integrity and compliance and the
proper functioning of our company.
However, it often requires signicant
courage, which is why one of the
key principles of reporting systems
is protecting whistleblowers,
individuals contributing to
the investigation of reported
misconduct, and aected parties.

reporting systems can be found
