As part of its software strategy, the Volkswagen Group has
reorganised the working relationships between CARIAD and
the Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Audi, and Porsche brands to
improve speed, eciency, and overall performance.
During a digital information session, CEO Oliver Blume, Head of
Group Development Michael Steiner, and CARIAD CEO Peter
Bosch were joined by senior brand representatives to present
the new Software Governance principles. These principles clearly
dene responsibilities between CARIAD, the individual brands,
and other Group divisions, streamlining decision-making
processes. Several thousand employees from Development
departments took part in the event.

Number of the Week
It has been  years since
the foundation stone
was laid for the M
production hall by then-
President Václav Havel and
Volkswagen Group Chairman
Ferdinand Piëch. This
modern and highly exible
production line was
originally designed for
the groundbreaking Škoda
Octavia series. Today, it continues to adapt to evolving customer demands,
producing Octavia models with powerful combustion engines as well as fully
electric Enyaq and Elroq models.
Thirty years ago, the foundation stone was laid for our advanced M
assembly hall, marking the beginning of a new chapter in Škoda Auto’s
success story with the Octavia. Featuring cutting-edge technology,
an innovative modular production system, and a strong focus on sustainability,
this Volkswagen Group investment has continued to benet Škoda Auto.
Today, the Octavia still rolls o the M production line, also as a mild hybrid,
alongside our all-electric Elroq and Enyaq family models. This exibility ensures
that Škoda’s Mladá Boleslav plant remains one of the most ecient production
sites in Europe with an annual capacity by our M assembly hall alone of
around , vehicles.”

For Škoda Auto employees
Škoda Auto is strengthening its collaboration with
the Technical University of Liberec (TUL), leading
to its company-run vocational school being designated
as a faculty school of the Faculty of Mechatronics,
Informatics, and Interdisciplinary Studies. This unique
partnership bridges secondary vocational education with
university-level studies – an exceptional model within
the Czech Republic. TUL has awarded this status for ve
years in recognition of the close cooperation and the high
standard of education at the vocational school. Talented
students who meet the required criteria will be granted
direct admission to the university without entrance exams.
