The Laurin & Klement Award has its winner
In December last year, we honoured the best student projects
as part of the Laurin & Klement Award at the Kosmonosy
Service and Training Centre. Out of submitted projects, the
jury selected nine nalists, with the main prize awarded to Adam
Kleprlík from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Czech
Technical University in Prague. The winning thesis, titled “Design of
a System for Tempering Parts within Dimensional Quality Control,”
was developed in the Quality Management department and earned
the winner a prize of CZK ,. The award was presented by
Andreas Dick, Board Member for Production and Logistics.
The expert jury – comprising Škoda Auto specialists from various
elds and representatives of academia – evaluates the projects
based on criteria such as professional contribution, practical
applicability of results, innovation, and originality of the topic.
End of Free Parking for Electric Vehicles
in Prague
You can read more about the competition on Škoda Space.
From January , free parking for vehicles
with EL license plates (BEV and P-HEV vehicles)
will end in Prague.
Parking in zones in Prague will now
be charged for all vehicles. From
January , it will also be possible
to obtain a % discount on long-
term and short-term parking for
zero-emission vehicles. To apply for
the discount, it is important that the
vehicle is registered.
You can read more about registration and the new rules,
including those for company cars, at Škoda Space.
Škoda Auto University
changes its legal form
As of January , Škoda Auto
University will change its legal form from
a public benet company (o.p.s.) to
a registered institute (z.ú.). This change
will enable greater exibility in cooperation
with strategic partners, allowing the
university to further expand its strong
connection with practice and industry.
The legal form of a public benet company,
under which Škoda Auto University has
operated since its establishment, no longer
fully corresponds to current legislative
conditions. The transformation into
a registered institute therefore represents
a natural and long-term sustainable
operating model for the university.
The new legal form will allow the
university to respond more eectively
to the dynamic development of higher
education as well as to the needs of its
current and future strategic partners.
You can read more about the benefits
of the new legal form on Škoda Space.

Increased participation in employee giving drives
and growing public awareness of our activities
was an exceptional year for volunteering at
Škoda Auto – we launched a new web volunteering
platform
dobrovolnici.skoda-auto.cz,
which
connects our employees with opportunities to
help, especially in the regions where Škoda Auto
operates. Volunteering is a strong part of our corporate
culture – it helps us build meaningful relationships with
communities and shows that each of us can be an
active member of society and contribute to positive
change. See how we did together last year:
